For example, if an individual weighed 170 pounds most of ther life, they
would require an urn with about 170 cubic inches or larger. Similarly, for
pet urns for ashes, if a pet had a healthy weight of 20 pounds, they
would require an urn with 20 to 30 cubic inches or larger. Especially for pets, the
pet cremation process can vary much more than for people, and so many dogs and cats
will need a bigger urn.
Urn sizes depend on the specific urn. For example, individual urns typically hold
about 200 cubic inches. Keepsake urns are smaller, typically holding 1 cubic inch
