The Air National Guard urn is made in the U.S. from select grade red alder and red oak, beautifully finished with a clear varnish. Cremains are loaded through the base of the urn by removing the screws using a #2 Phillips/Square Head screwsdriver. Included is a 2 millimeter poly liner to place the cremains into before placing them inside the urn.
Each urn can be personalized with the name, dates, military rank or a loving remark such as Loving Husband and Fatherﾝ.
This urn is also available with an optional memorial chest add-on. This can be used as a place to keep mementos (i.e. insignias, medals, ribbons, and photos) of your loved one, while the separated lower area is a cremation urn. The chest is lined with a hunter green felt flocking. The standard depth of the memory chest area is about 1.5" deep. The lid has two hidden solid brass hinges and a solid brass friction latch. Please note the reduction of space for cremains with the addition of the memorial chest.
