This Rock Salt Urn is an environmentally friendly biodegradable urn.

The Reddish hue of the salt is derived from the percentage of iron content in the actual salt bed.  Each urn varies in color, making each urn unique.  When totally submerged it completely dissolves in any body of water in less than 4 hours.  Decomposition is much slower if the urn is buried in the ground. 

A biodegradable plastic bag and string tie are included.  If you wish to seal the urn, the manufacturer recommends using a any glue safe for children, such as Elmer's.  This glue will slowly dissolve and not be harmful to the environment.
