The Imperial Garden Adult Cloisonne Cremation Urn is a solid brass urn with a cloisonne finish depicting pale pink to white blossoms and gray-green leaves on a black and gold background. Cloisonne is an ancient art form using an intricate metalworking process with multiple layers of fired enamel over copper or brass. Because each urn is hand painted, each urn will be slightly different in coloring which makes each urn unique. The coloring on the urn will be shiny as that is a trait of enamel. The lid sits on top the urn and is not threaded. You can temporarily seal the urn with QuakeHold or museum putty, and permanently seal the urn with a bead of silicone adhesive. As with any urn, it is recommended to keep the cremains in a sealed plastic bag inside the urn. Cloisonne cannot be engraved but this urn can be personalized with an oval name plate that will hang on a ribbon around the neck of the urn. Wood base is approximately 1.75" high so total height of urn with base would be approximately 10". Holds approximately 210 cubic inches which is large enough for most adults under 6' tall with a healthy weight under 200 pounds.
